KPR Mill has announced an investment programme of approximately ₹1,225 crore covering expansion and modernisation of its manufacturing operations.
The investment forms part of the company’s strategy to increase production capacity and improve its manufacturing infrastructure.
KPR Mill operates across the textile value chain, including yarn, fabric and garment manufacturing.
The proposed investment will support additional capacity as well as modernisation of existing production facilities.
Modern textile manufacturing facilities increasingly incorporate automated production systems, energy-efficient equipment, process monitoring and advanced material-handling systems.
Capacity expansion therefore involves not only adding machines but also strengthening supporting infrastructure such as electrical systems, utilities, compressed air, water management and production-control systems.
The investment comes as India’s textile and apparel industry continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities for domestic and export markets.
India’s textile sector has been undertaking investments in spinning, weaving, processing and garment manufacturing as companies seek to increase scale and improve production efficiency.
The KPR Mill programme is expected to be implemented across its manufacturing operations.
The company has continued to invest in capacity and technology as part of its longer-term growth strategy.
The expansion will increase the company’s manufacturing footprint and is expected to support additional production over the coming years.
