The facility expands the company’s manufacturing footprint and is intended to support growing demand from automotive and other industrial customers.
SJS Enterprises manufactures decorative and functional products used by automotive and consumer-product manufacturers.
The company’s product portfolio includes decorative surfaces, badges, overlays and other components used in vehicle interiors and exteriors.
The new facility provides additional production infrastructure and manufacturing capacity.
Automotive component plants increasingly use automated production equipment, robotics, inspection systems and digital production monitoring to maintain quality and production efficiency.
Manufacturing facilities also require supporting infrastructure including electrical systems, compressed air, HVAC, utilities, material-handling equipment and quality-control systems.
The expansion comes as India’s automotive manufacturing sector continues to invest in additional production capacity and localisation of component manufacturing.
The growth of domestic vehicle production has also encouraged component suppliers to increase their own manufacturing capabilities.
The new Pune facility will strengthen SJS Enterprises’ ability to serve its customers and support additional production requirements.
The company has continued to expand its manufacturing network in line with demand from automotive and other industrial sectors.
