Tata Projects Wins GSFC Contract for Integrated Acid Complex in Gujarat

The Sikka project includes a 600-tonne-per-day phosphoric acid plant and a 1,800-tonne-per-day sulphuric acid plant.

Tata Projects has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC) to develop an integrated acid manufacturing complex at Sikka in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Announced on 28 October 2026, the project comprises phosphoric acid and sulphuric acid plants, together with associated utilities and offsite infrastructure.

The complex forms part of GSFC’s programme to produce more of its fertiliser raw materials internally. It is intended to strengthen feedstock availability for phosphatic fertiliser production and reduce exposure to imported inputs.

The integrated facilities will require coordination across process engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning. Tata Projects said the award expands its presence in the chemicals and fertilisers sector.

The announcement did not disclose the contract value or commissioning timeline.
