KPI Green Energy has commissioned an additional 130 MW of solar capacity as part of its renewable-energy projects in Gujarat.
The new capacity forms part of the company’s continuing expansion of solar and hybrid renewable-energy infrastructure.
The commissioned capacity is associated with the company’s renewable-energy development activities in Gujarat, where solar projects have expanded significantly in recent years.
A utility-scale solar project requires large numbers of photovoltaic modules together with mounting structures, inverters, transformers, electrical systems and grid-connection infrastructure.
Projects also require monitoring and control systems to track generation, equipment performance and plant conditions.
Solar plants increasingly use digital monitoring systems to identify equipment problems and optimise generation.
The addition of 130 MW contributes to India’s expanding renewable-energy generation capacity.
India has been increasing renewable generation as part of its wider energy-transition programme, while also expanding transmission infrastructure required to connect new renewable projects to the grid.
Gujarat remains one of the country’s major renewable-energy development centres, supported by strong solar resources and established industrial infrastructure.
The latest commissioning adds to KPI Green Energy’s growing renewable-energy portfolio.
The company has additional renewable projects under development and continues to expand its solar and hybrid generation capacity.
