JSW Cement Approves ₹1,078-Crore Expansion in Karnataka and Maharashtra

The projects will add a combined 4 million tonnes of annual grinding capacity at Vijayanagar and Dolvi, with commissioning targeted for 2028.

JSW Cement’s board has approved two manufacturing expansions involving a total investment of approximately ₹1,078 crore, according to its stock-exchange disclosure dated 27 October 2026.

At Vijayanagar, Karnataka, the company plans to install a 2-million-tonne-per-year ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS) grinding system within its existing premises. The project will require approximately ₹509 crore, with commissioning expected by May 2028.

At Dolvi, Maharashtra, JSW Cement will add a 2-million-tonne-per-year cement grinding mill, involving approximately ₹569 crore. Commissioning is expected by October 2028.

Both projects will be financed through internal accruals and debt. The company said the investments would strengthen production capabilities and support its growth strategy.

The developments are at the board-approval stage. The disclosure does not announce equipment suppliers or construction contract awards.
